Why? Because it is full of holes!
After over 60 years those that defend the Warren Commission (WC) still can't prove anything they claim. Let's review their claims in regard to the shooting of President John F. Kennedy (JFK).
MOTIVE
What was Lee Harvey Oswald's (LHO) motive? First they tried to tie him to Cuban Premier Fidel Castro, but there is a major problem with this one as JFK was making peace overtures with Castro and was NOT planning on invading his island. In fact, he was given the opportunity twice, Bay of Pigs and Cuban Missile Crisis, to do so and refused.
So why would LHO want JFK gone again? Besides, many who were exiles or worked in this area knew what LHO was - a plant.
Next came the notion that he hated JFK, yet they couldn't produce one person who said they ever heard him saying anything mean about JFK. Instead they found people saying the opposite was true - that LHO admired JFK.
Finally we were told that LHO was a raving lunatic and wanted to be famous as this is easy to claim, but again they failed to prove it. Not one document was ever produced showing a legitimate doctor declaring LHO to be "nuts." Oh they would try and show he was a murdering maniac by attempting to shoot General Edwin A. Walker (EAW) and police officer J.D. Tippit (JDT), but in both cases they couldn't produce a single piece of evidence showing LHO's involvement in either crime.
Furthermore, IF there were ever two men who could be considered to be "at opposite ends" of the political spectrum it would be JFK and EAW, so why is he trying to shoot both of them as claimed? No legitimate doctor ever said LHO suffered from a bi-polar condition either.
As for the wanting to be famous part, he utterly and categorically denied having anything to do with the shooting so there goes another "theory."
MEANS & OPPORTUNITY
Not one person was ever found who saw LHO at the sixth-floor window of the Texas School Book Depository (TSBD) Building at 12:30 PM on November 22, 1963. NO ONE. In fact, they found three people who saw him elsewhere! Not one person was found who saw LHO with a rifle in his hands at any time on that day.
No one besides Wes Frazier, who is quite suspicious himself, ever saw LHO bring in a package on November 22, 1963. Frazier really didn't see him enter the TSBD either, he just claimed he got out of the car with it and assumed that he walked into the TSBD with it.
Not one person could be found who ever saw LHO make the package the WC claimed he carried the rifle into the TSBD with. The truth was the man who was in charge of the packaging area, Mr. Troy West, claimed that he never saw LHO near his area at any time. West was prone to virtually never leaving his area either.
There was one person, Bonnie Ray Williams, who is on the sixth floor until 12:20 PM, and he testified that when he left there was NO ONE up there. The FBI said it took between 6-7 minutes to put the Carcano together with a dime if you were good at it doing this, but there is no evidence showing that LHO either knew how to do this or was very good at it. This is key as NO ONE could be produced to show LHO ever broke down a M-C and put it back together again.
Instead the witnesses who claimed he owned the rifle always said it was in the Paine garage, and in a blanket while being INTACT! No one ever said LHO broke down the rifle that I have heard from. So how does LHO pull this off while at the same time moving 20-25 boxes (and leaving prints on just two of them!)? Remember, the motorcade was 5 minutes behind schedule and LHO could not have known this, so for all intents and purposes, he would have begun too late and missed JFK if the motorcade was on time!
From his hire date to the day of the assassination LHO missed NOT ONE day of work nor was he absent for any period of time, and yet, the WC had him off doing all kinds of errands (while ignoring multiples sightings of him when he was really at work) during work times.
PHYSICAL EVIDENCE
The WC could NOT support the following claims:
1) That LHO ordered a 40.2 inch Mannlicher-Carcano (M-C) rifle (really they couldn't prove that he ordered any rifle but let's stick to the alleged murder weapon).
2) That LHO ever picked up the 40.2 inch M-C rifle which was supposedly delivered to his Dallas P.O. Box.
2) That LHO ever practiced with the 40.2 inch M-C rifle (what is key here is there is NO evidence LHO ever fired a bolt-actioned rifle as all his test shoots in the Marines were with the M-1).
4) That LHO ever purchased any ammunition for the 40.2 inch M-C rifle.
5) That LHO fired the 40.2 inch M-C rifle on November 22, 1963, at 12:30 PM.
6) That LHO brought the alleged murder weapon into the TSBD on November 22, 1963.
7) That LHO handled the alleged murder weapon at any time due to no fingerprints of his being on the rifle when found.
8) That LHO was ever on the sixth floor of the TSBD past 11:50 AM on November 22, 1963.
9) The alleged murder weapon was never checked for recent firing, but even with this aside, they could not prove one bullet or fragment from it caused any wounds to either JFK or to Texas Governor John B. Connally (JBC) as all "evidence" presented lacked any proof it was ever INSIDE either man.
10) That all the shots came only from the TSBD building.
11) That the "bag" the rifle was carried in ever existed. All we were given was a dotted line in a picture to represent where it was "found."
12) That a clip was in the rifle when it was found, which meant hand loading would have had to occur, and this is not possible according to some, and this would have taken too much time to do.
(There is much more, but we have to end for now.)
MEDICAL EVIDENCE
ALL the doctors at Parkland Hospital (PH) and Bethesda Naval Hospital (BNH), along with all the other witnesses, save one, said there was damage to the right rear of JFK's head. The lone exception was a Captain John Stover who said he only saw damage to the top of JFK's head (Dr. Pierre Finck was not asked).
The autopsy report was changed, we know that, but even with this in mind they still list the "occipital" area as part of the 12 cm wound area. The occipital area is only in one area, the back of the head.
Dr. James Humes discussed the wound in the throat with Dr. Malcolm Perry during the night of the autopsy and was told it was one of entry. Dr. Perry had no idea why the wound had gone from a 2-4 cm wound to a 7-8 cm wound as he said the tracheotomy wound was NOT that large at PH. Tissue samples were ordered for this wound which is odd because the authorities always claimed the prosectors did not know there was a wound due to a bullet, but instead it was due to a tracheotomy.
The only purpose for this type of testing (tissue sample) at an autopsy was to check for metal fragments due to a gunshot wound, so why do this if you thought there was no such wound? This is proof to me Dr. Humes was told that night by Dr. Perry that JFK had been shot in the throat.
The prosectors would locate the head wound in the lower EOP area of the head, but in the lateral X-ray there is a trail of metal debris 10 cm long at the TOP of the head! How does a downward travelling bullet enter the skull and then shoot up and across the head?
What is the 6.5 mm object seen in the lateral X-ray? I ask because NO ONE saw it there during the autopsy or in the subsequent days when the X-rays were done. It did not appear for 5 years, right in time for the Clark Panel investigation. IF one looks at the frontal X-ray, the original fragment mentioned by FBI Agents James Sibert and Francis O'Neill can still be seen (a non-6.5 mm fragment) and it is 2-3 mm across. Who could have put this 6.5 mm object in this X-ray? I think we know who had them under lock and key, so the answer is quite obvious (I won't even get into the two brain specimens at this time).
All official causes of death documents mention a "high-velocity" bullet as the reason for death, and yet, the WC wants us to believe a low-to-medium velocity rifle was used. What?
Admiral George Burkley, JFK's personal physician, listed the back wound at the T-3 level of his right back area. This is consistent with the holes in the clothes JFK was wearing at the time of the assassination too. This is also consistent with the location in Sibert and O'Neill's report and with other eyewitnesses to the body.
The prosectors would also keep this wound in the area of the back in their autopsy report and Dr. Thorton Boswell's autopsy diagram. In addition to these sources we have the autopsy photographs which do not show the wound at the base of the neck. How then did the wound move from the right of the spine to the base of the neck many months later when the prosectors never mentioned the back wound in this location? Gerald Ford did it. Without a lick of medical training he just upped and moved it.
They would of course get Boswell to change his first opinion and do another diagram showing it there, but it is clear from the first set of evidence the wound was NEVER at the base of the neck.
The WC never proved their assertion that the back wound and the throat wound were connected. They have produced nada in this area to show this assertion is accurate, yet we are supposed to believe it. Both Drs. John Nichols (M.D. - Forensic pathologist) and David Mantik (M.D. - Radiation Oncologist and a Ph.D. in physics) have shown recently that NO bullet could traverse the neck region and NOT cause damage to the spinal bone, yet the autopsy report makes NO mention of a bone damage in this region.
There is so much more in terms of Zapruder-film inconsistencies, witnesses' testimony, the whole JDT affair, and all the alleged things prior to November 22, 1963, but I can't address all of that now. The LNers have had over 60 years and they have proved nothing, and yet this ridiculous theory is still the only one our government and media will accept.
