The Warren Commission (WC) claimed that Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO) assassinated President John F. Kennedy (JFK), shot and killed Dallas Police Officer J.D. Tippit (JDT), wounded Texas Governor John B. Connally (JBC) and attempted to kill retired General Edwin Walker. The evidence supporting these claims is absent from the WC’s twenty-six volumes of exhibits and testimony however, therefore, this has left many questions for us today. I have asked so many questions in this series already, and now it is time for more.

If the Single Bullet Theory occurred as claimed, why was there all this puzzlement over how it happened?
The WC wrote the following in their report regarding the when the shot was fired that supposedly hit both JFK and Texas Governor John B. Connally (JBC).

Thus, the evidence indicated that the President was not hit until at least Frame 210 and that he was probably hit by Frame 225. The possibility of variations in reaction time in addition to the obstruction of Zapruder's view by the sign precluded a more specific determination than that the President was probably shot through the neck between Frames 210 and 225... (WCR, p.105)

The WC states that it is probable that JFK was shot through the neck between Frames 210 and 225. Where did the WC get this notion when evidence in their own twenty-six volumes of Exhibits and Testimony makes it clear that this did NOT occur.
Mr. McCLOY. Take frame 231.
Mr. SHANEYFELT. Yes.
Mr. McCLOY. There the President has got his hands up as you put it to his throat.
Mr. SHANEYFELT. Yes.
Mr. McCLOY. And here is Connally facing to the front.
Mr. SHANEYFELT. Yes.
Mr. McCLOY. So at that point a bullet coming through the President's throat could have hit Connally in the spot where it did hit Connally.
Mr. SHANEYFELT. I am going to defer that question to Mr. Frazier who is in the window with the rifle scope and made a more thorough study of the possible path of the bullet. But he is straight in the car in frame 231.
Mr. McCLOY. But your testimony is in frame 248--frame 249 Connally couldn't have been hit from this window in the position where he was sitting.
Mr. SHANEYFELT. That is correct, on the basis stated.
Mr. DULLES. But you would have then the problem you would think if Connally had been hit at the same time, would have reacted in the same way, and not reacted much later as these pictures show.
Mr. McCLOY. That is right.
Mr. DULLES. Because the wounds would have been inflicted.
Mr. McCLOY. That is what puzzles me.
Mr. DULLES. That is what puzzles me.
This testimony is vital in understanding that what the WC wrote in their report is totally inaccurate and misleading. They claimed that JBC was hit by the bullet that had previously hit JFK by no later than Frame 225, but here we see testimony that shows as late as Frame 231 JBC still showed no sign of being hit by a bullet. The WC never really addressed what caused puzzlement for two WC members, but instead blamed it on a “delayed reaction” by JBC. (WCR, pp. 112 &115)
The window was tight too as we see FBI Agent Lyndal Shaneyfelt say that by Frame 248-249 JBC could not have been hit by a bullet from the alleged assassin window.
The WC of course did not provide any firm evidence for their claim of a delayed reaction. Instead we were just given some loose medical opinion on the issue.
The bottom line is that the Zapruder film clearly shows that JFK and JBC were hit by separate bullets contrary to what the WC claimed.
Once again we see that the WC made claims that were contrary to their own evidence, and that they showed no curiosity or interest in evidence that did not support their preconceived theory of a lone assassin killing JFK. This causes doubt which in turn sinks their conclusion.
