The Warren Commission (WC) claimed that Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO) was the assassin of President John F. Kennedy (JFK) and that he received no assistance from anyone in his planning and execution of the crime. In other words, he was a loner who perpetrated the crime all by himself.
The WC admitted that LHO could NOT drive and continually had little money as he had a wife and eventually two children to support while being out of work a good bit of the time. Based on LHO's financial situation, and the fact he was a "loner" per the WC, one would expect that LHO would live a simple life.
If we read the WC's evidence (twenty-six volumes and Commission Documents (CD)) we get a completely different version of LHO. He was everywhere. We have seen him in numerous other articles in different places, and this article will look at more examples of LHO sightings that the FBI desperately tried to shoot down as being incorrect.

On December 3, 1964, (either after the WC Report -- WCR -- was published or this was a mistake and should be 1963) the FBI learned that a man was saying that he saw a person who resembled LHO at a YMCA in in Knoxville, Tennessee, during the months of September or October 1963. The FBI sent an agent to get more details.

On December 3, 1964, JIM HENDRIX, YMCA, Knoxville, advised that a person generally resembling the description of LEE HARVEY OSWALD rented a room on the second floor of the YMCA for a week or a ten-day period in September or October, 1963. Mr. HENDRIX could not remember the name of this person but recalled the individual said he was from Dallas, Texas, and he had obtained a dishonorable discharge from the United States Air Force. Mr. HENDRIX said this person was an out-spoken opponent of President KENNEDY and possessed some literature critical of KENNEDY and other members of his administration. HENDRIX stated that BILL MONCIER, former YMCA desk clerk, would remember this individual. (CD 835, p. 2)

So according to Jim Hendrix, a person looking similar to LHO rented a room at the Knoxville YMCA for a 7–10-day period in either September or October 1963. Now, those that defend the WC's conclusion will say that he just mentioned that he resembled LHO and did NOT say it was LHO for sure. Guess what? This is what the WC had witness Domingo Benavides say in regard to the shooting of Dallas Police Officer J.D. Tippit (JDT). All he said was the shooter resembled LHO and never said it was LHO. So, if it can work for them there, they cannot say the same thing cannot work here.
We know that LHO was NOT in Dallas in September per the WC as they had him in Mexico City, but there is no evidence that supports this claim. This means he could have been in Knoxville in September as there is really no evidence showing he was anywhere at that time. So why not Knoxville, Tennessee? We also know LHO was never in the Air Force, but this could have been a mistake by the person impersonating him or if it was him, he might not have wanted to say he had been in the Marines.
The LHO gunned down in the Dallas Police Department (DPD) basement was NOT an opponent of JFK. In fact, his wife and others close to him said that he was very fond of JFK. This was most likely another situation created by those setting LHO up as they always caused a raucous wherever they went pretending to be LHO. They wanted to make sure people would remember him later on after the assassination. Researchers have said over the years that these sightings were primarily to set up LHO, and that was a main purpose, but there are so many that it leaves me with the impression that there was another reason for all these sightings.
I have not read this anywhere else. This is my own thought. Think about how many there were in the months leading up to the assassination. These make it clear LHO was being set up, so why did they do so many when the final conclusion would say there was no conspiracy? For me the only answer is obvious -- to keep the FBI and others so busy following leads like this that went nowhere they would have no time finding the real culprits. And, making it obvious to the agents involved that the official story was false but to say otherwise would cause damage to your career. As Vincent Salandria said many years ago, the conspirators wanted us to know it was a conspiracy, but they wanted us not to be able to do anything about it. Who wants to pull off something like this and not be able to brag about it? We have been kept busy with endless leads and discussing the worthless evidence. All we have at our disposal is to spread the truth as our government has shown it does NOT plan to really investigate this crime.
The FBI would interview three people that either worked at the YMCA or had worked there in September-October 1963. Of course, none of them remembered any person resembling LHO or any person handing out literature critical of JFK. To add insult to injury, we see Bill Moncier say that Hendrix was prone to "exaggeration." If we had a $10 bill for every time a witness who said something contrary to the official conclusion was prone to exaggerate, we would be well off. Anytime a witness said something that countered the WC's conclusion they were "mistaken", "prone to exaggerate", "confused", "looking for fame" and/or "looking to make money." Needless to say, these same adjectives NEVER applied to their star witnesses who seemed quite guilty of all of these things.
It has also been said that LHO left his name and address on a visitor's log at the Oak Ridge Atomic Energy Lab on July 26, 1963. This is what was written on the log.

Notice how "USSR" was added to draw attention to the name as anybody visiting the Atomic Energy Museum would certainly notice this mention since it was a reference to our main enemy at the time. What is also strange about this is that LHO did not want to mention Russia as he felt if people knew he had been there he would not obtain employment, but here he supposedly brazenly mentions it. Once again, this was to make this stand out and be remembered. Why did the person spell Dallas correctly the first time and then misspell it the second time? Was this to make it look like LHO did this as he was known to misspell words all the time?
This log would be sent to the FBI's Lab for verification of the writing. Here is what was concluded.

Of course this was not LHO as he was in New Orleans in July, but he did travel to Mobile, Alabama, to deliver a speech on July 27, 1963, to the Jesuit House of Studies. LHO had been invited to speak by his cousin Eugene Murrett because he had spent time in the Soviet Union. Could LHO leave New Orleans and go to Tennessee on the 26th and then on to Mobile by the 27th. It is unlikely UNLESS someone flew him to do these things. If it was another impersonation, who was doing this?
We again see evidence (sightings) that illustrate how either LHO was being set up or where he had to be working with others involved in a conspiracy to do something including the possibility of killing JFK. Either way, this differs with the conclusion of the WC in which they claimed he was a loner and acted all by himself on November 22, 1963.
