1963 -- Gerry Patrick Hemming says that on this day, at the Petroleum Club in Dallas, Texas, he is offered a contract to assassinate JFK. He says that Nelson Bunker Hunt is present in the room when the offer is made. Hemming says he declined the offer, saying: “You shouldn’t be talking to me directly about this.” Hemming has lunch today at the Texas Club with George De Mohrenschildt, Lester Logue, and others.

HIGHLIGHTED POST -- "Eugene H. Brading (a.k.a. Jim Braden): A Suspicious Character" --
The General Evidence Board -- Jim Braden was a man with a long criminal record who happened to be in Dealey Plaza at the time of the assassination. He was detained but was released after a few hours. Why?
HIGHLIGHTED POST -- The ARRB Files -- The Alleged Mexico City Trip --
The ARRB Board -- The Warren Commission claimed that Lee Harvey Oswald had traveled to Mexico City in late September 1963. They never supported this claim, however. The Assassination Records Review Board would show that he did not go just as the Warren Commission's evidence had, and the House Select Committee on Assassinations Lopez Report stated.

Who's Who in the JFK Assassination
This area will look at various people and groups associated with the assassination. --

Arnold Louis and Barbara Rowland -- The Rowlands were standing at the west entrance of the Dallas County Records Building on Houston Street, about 150 feet from the sixth floor of the TSBD. Rowland told FBI agents that at 12:15 P.M., 15 minutes before the assassination, he saw a man with a "high-powered rifle" standing about five feet from the southwest corner window, on the other side of the building from the "sniper's nest." Rowland, who had better than 20/20 vision, described the man as 140 to 150 lbs., light-complected, with short-cropped dark hair. He was wearing an unbuttoned light-colored shirt over a T-shirt and dark slacks. In the "sniper's-nest" window, Rowland saw a second man, black, about 55 years old, practically bald and very thin. That man was there until five minutes before the assassination. Rowland assumed the men were Secret Service agents. When the shots were fired, he ran in the direction of the grassy knoll with everyone else. Rowland's wife, Barbara, could not corroborate what her husband had seen. She is nearsighted and was not wearing her glasses. (Why would someone go to a presidential motorcade without glasses?)
