The Warren Commission (WC) claimed Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO) killed President John F. Kennedy (JFK) and wounded Governor John B. Connally (JBC) all by himself by firing three shots and hitting the two men with two bullets. The WC claimed that one bullet hit BOTH men, and thus, it became known as the SINGLE BULLET THEORY (SBT).
One of the most famous bullets of all-time is Commission Exhibit (CE) 399 and it is known as the “magic bullet” due to its unbelievable claimed route in both men.
As we have seen so many times before the SBT is NOT supported by any evidence. In fact, the evidence shows the SBT was impossible. It was merely the brainchild of WC lawyer Arlen Specter and WC member Gerald Ford to hide the fact both men were hit by SEPARATE bullets which meant more than three shots were fired. IF more than three shots were fired the WC knew they had to say there was a second gunman, and they couldn’t/wouldn’t say this.
This post will look at this topic in yet another way—from the perspective of those that found the bullet at Parkland Hospital (PH) on November 22, 1963.
******************************************
According to the official version of the events a bullet is found at 1:45 P.M. at PH by Darrell Tomlinson.
But what bullet is it? As we have seen previously in the "Statements That Sink The WC’s Conclusions" series the Director of Security O.P. Wright’s wife said another bullet was found on that day by him.

In addition to the one Tomlinson found, which he stated repeatedly was NOT the one the WC presented as CE-399 (he said a POINTY-NOSE bullet had been found), TWO other bullets were found as well . Elizabeth Goode Wright, director of nursing at Parkland, told researcher Wallace Millam in 1993 that her husband, O.P. Wright (director of security) found TWO bullets on 11/22/63. He handled the "magic bullet" before the Secret Service received it, but he also found a unfired, "whole" .38 with manufacturer's case markings ".38 SP WCC" -- the very same markings as 2 of the 4 shell casings allegedly retrieved from the Tippit scene and supposedly matched to the pistol found on LHO at the time of his arrest .

We also saw that some had a foreknowledge that a bullet would be found in the first place in this series too.

At 1:25 p.m. the Secret Service (SS) are trying to remove the body from Parkland for the journey to D.C. and when Kellerman asks the judge present to sign-off he is told by the judge that he must get permission from D.A. Wade. Henry Wade and Chief Curry give the following advice: "Do not release the body until the missile is taken into custody." This comment has given researchers much dilemma over the years, as they are not sure what "missile" they could be talking about as the CE-399 bullet is NOT found until 1:45 p.m. How did Wade and Curry know a bullet would be found?

This is puzzling and there seems to be only one answer to the question, and it is NOT that they got lucky. We will now look at the men who saw and touched the bullet on November 22, 1963, to see if they agree that the bullet in evidence, and known as CE 399, is the SAME bullet they saw on that day.
First up is Darrell Tomlinson. He was a maintenance employee for PH and he was shown CE 399 (referred to as Exhibit C1 in the source material) by Special Agent Bardwell Odum of the FBI on June 12, 1964, in Dallas. The summation of the results was included in CE 2011 and reads as follows.

…Darrell Tomlinson…was shown Exhibit C1, a rifle slug, …Tomlinson stated it appears to be the same one he found on a hospital carriage at PH on November 22, 1963, but he CANNOT POSITIVELY IDENTIFY the bullet as the one he found and showed to Mr. O.P. Wright. (CE 2011, p. 412—p. 2 in original report) (Emphasis added)

Despite this report claiming he said they looked similar in appearance Tomlinson is on record saying a pointy-nosed bullet was found and CE 399 is a ROUND-NOSE bullet. In the end they had to admit he could NOT positively identify CE 399 as the bullet he saw and touched on November, 22, 1963.
We know come to the next person who saw and touched the bullet—O.P. Wright. In the same report the following is found regarding the showing of the bullet to Wright.
Quote on
O.P. Wright…advised Special Agent Bardwell Odum that Exhibit C1, a rifle slug, shown to him at the time of the interview, looks like the slug found at PH on November 22, 1963, which he gave to Richard Johnsen, Special Agent of the Secret Service…he advised he COULD NOT POSITIVELY IDENTIFY C1 as being the same bullet which was found on November 22, 1963. (CE 2011, p. 412—p. 2 in original report) (Emphasis added)

So far we have a “appears to be the same” and a “looks like the slug found”, but we have NO positive identifications of CE 399 by the first two people that saw and touched it. The next person in the chain is Special Agent Richard Johnsen of the SS. One would expect he would have a better ability to judge bullets given his line of work. Here is what he told the FBI regarding the bullet shown to him.
Quote on
….Special Agent Richard Johnsen…was shown Exhibit C1, a rifle bullet, by Special Agent Elmer Lee Todd…Johnsen advised he COUD NOT IDENTIFY this bullet as the same one he obtained from O.P. Wright…and gave to James Rowley, Chief, SS…on November 22, 1963. (CE 2011, p. 412—p. 2 in original report) (Emphasis added)

With Johnsen we got no comment about it looking similar or appearing to be the same BEFORE he flatly stated he COULD NOT identify it as being the same bullet. Notice the language changed slightly for him too as the previous two comments referred to it as being a “rifle slug”, but here it was noted as a “rifle bullet.” Why the change here? Were Tomlinson and Wright actually shown a SLUG vs. a bullet?
Next up is the man Johnsen gave the bullet too—SS Chief Rowley. Here is what he said.

The ONLY person who would identify Exhibit C1 as being the same bullet was the man at the END OF THE CHAIN OF CUSTODY—Special Agent Todd of the FBI. His summary says this.

…Special Agent Elmer Lee Todd…identified C1, a rifle bullet, as being the same one he received from James Rowley, Chief, USSS…on November 22, 1963. This identification was made from initials marked thereon by Special Agent Todd at the FBI laboratory UPON RECEIPT. (CE 2011, p. 412—p. 3 in original report) (Emphasis added)

There you have it. The ONLY person saying the bullet found at PH was the same one in evidence is FBI Special Agent Todd and he based this on initials he put on the bullet when he received it. But, who did he receive it from? It couldn’t be from Chief Rowley as he COUD NOT IDENTIFY CE 399 as being the bullet he received from Special Agent Johnsen. Why is the ONLY person saying CE 399 is the same bullet the man who was at the END OF THE chain? How do you think this would go over in a court of law? His reasoning is due to him initialing the bullet, but again, this does NOT show us he received it from Rowley as claimed.
Whatever happened to the other bullet Wright found too (.38 SP WCC)? Was this planted to frame LHO for the murder of JDT as well? Was it determined NOT to be needed, and thus, pulled from the evidence? Also, how did Wade and Curry know a full TWENTY MINUTES before that a missile (i.e. bullet) would be found at PH? Were they clairvoyant or in the know?
