The Warren Commission (WC) claimed that Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO) assassinated President John F. Kennedy (JFK) alone on November 22, 1963.
We have seen that this claim is NOT supported by any evidence found in their twenty-six volumes or the Commission Documents (CD) -- many of which were kept secret for decades.
This post will look at more evidence that was never taken seriously by the WC because it either showed LHO in a different light or it showed that LHO was being impersonated or that there was more than one Oswald.
*******************************************
Clifton Shasteen was the owner of Shasteen's Barbershop. He was also a barber there and he told the WC that LHO appeared at his barbershop on several occasions prior to the assassination to obtain a haircut. He further stated that on two occasions he was with a 14-year-old boy. Shasteen told the WC that he only saw the boy in his barbershop with LHO and has not seen him since the assassination.
Mr. SHASTEEN. ...because Oswald is dead and he's the only one I ever saw that kid with--he is the only one that I ever saw that kid with and I don't remember seeing him since that time I don't know who he was any more than nothing.
He would also tell the FBI that he saw the man he believed to be LHO drive to the barbershop in Mrs. Ruth Paine's station wagon.
Mr. JENNER. You have a distinct recollection that on occasions when this man came into your shop for a haircut, he drove an automobile up to your shop?
Mr. SHASTEEN. He drove that there 1955, I think it's a 1955, I'm sure it's a 1955 Chevrolet station wagon. It's either blue and white or green and white it's two-toned--I know that. Now, why I say--why I take it for granted that Mrs. Paine was with him when he come to the grocery store I do remember he wasn't driving when they would come to the grocery store, there would be a lady driving and I'm assuming that that' was Mrs. Paine, because like I say, I have been--I have never been close enough to her and knew it, to speak to her, but she trades at the service station where I do and I saw her in there and I never did pay any attention to her and I saw her passing, met her in the road in the car and those things.
Needless to say, when Ruth Paine was questioned about this on September 18, 1964, she had no idea about the barbershop or LHO getting a haircut there. She told the FBI that she didn't know where he had his hair cut. She further told them that she did not know about the 14-year-old boy and that she had never allowed LHO to take her car by himself. (Robert Gemberling Report of October 8, 1964; CD 1546, p. 125)
The last part is key because this doesn't preclude her driving him there as Shasteen said. Remember, he said there was a lady driving the car. Was it Ruth Paine? Shasteen told the WC in his testimony that he knew where the man he believed to be LHO lived and he knew where the station wagon was parked at after he saw LHO's picture following the assassination. He went there immediately and he said you could not get within four blocks of the house (assuming because the police had it blocked off) and he knew that he was correct. This had to be the Paine house which was swarmed with police on November 22, 1963. Shasteen said that the boy never received a haircut and has not been seen since LHO's last visit which he said was about 2 weeks before the assassination. Who was this boy and why was he with LHO (or an imposter)?
The FBI then interviewed Bert Glover who was a barber at Shasteen's barbershop. He told the FBI the following.

...BERT ELMO GLOVER...advised that he recalled seeing a man in the barbershop on three occasions whom he believed to be identical with LEE HARVEY OSWALD...Mr. GLOVER stated at no time did he see this person utilizing an automobile.
Mr. GLOVER described the person he believed to be identical with LEE HARVEY OSWALD as white, male, 34 to 35 years of age, 5'11" in height, weight 140 pounds, hair dark brown, complexion ruddy, thin or sharp features, clean-shaven, but dark beard, dressed in everyday clothes, sport shirt and slacks. (Ibid., p. 126)

Glover said the man was IDENTICAL to LHO but notice the description he provided. LHO was NOT 34 or 35 years of age. He had just turned 24 in October. The LHO shot and killed in Dallas was just 5'9" and NOT 5'11" as Glover said. Now, the LHO who is mentioned in official documents is listed at 5'11". The LHO killed in Dallas did NOT have a beard, but Glover said this man did. These are big discrepancies. Was this the LHO born in the United States? I have thought for years that LHO was switched out in the Marine Corps as that would explain why official documents, including Marine Corps documents, list him differently from later documents (eyes and height). The other possibility would be when he was in Russia, but how did the original American one get out? It would not surprise me or many others if the Russians sent a false LHO back, but what happened to the original one in that scenario?
Glover also told the FBI that Shasteen had told him that the boy once remarked that, "This country would be better off when all countries are governed the same." He said that he did not hear this, but Shasteen told him that the boy said this while waiting for LHO to get done. Why would a young boy be thinking about stuff like this? Who was telling him this kind of stuff?
Shasteen also mentioned a pair of shoes that LHO was wearing and of course the man had to get in that he purchased them in "Old Mexico."
Mr. JENNER. And that you also said you had commented to Oswald concerning the house shoes and suggested that they must be quite expensive and Oswald said, "No; not where I bought them," and you stated that he said he had purchased the shoes in Old Mexico for only a dollar and a half?
Mr. SHASTEEN. Right.
Of course the LHO killed in Dallas never went to old Mexico according to the evidence. If this man went then he avoided all cameras as there is NO visual evidence showing a man who looked like LHO was in Mexico City as the WC claimed. Given all the information it would appear that this was the Oswald double ("Lee" -- original) that went there as the description is off to be LHO. Furthermore, LHO was NOT seen hanging around with a 14-year-old boy by anyone else, so this is another factor that makes one think this was another Oswald.
If it was another Oswald ("Lee") then this opens a huge can of worms as it may show a link between him and Ruth Paine. Is it possible that the Oswald killed did NOT ever live at the Paines with Marina? Could it have been "Lee" instead? A lot of questions that need answers.
Whatever the answers may be, we again see evidence that contradicts the WC's conclusion, therefore, it is sunk once more.
