The Warren Commission (WC) said Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO) shot and killed President John F. Kennedy (JFK) all by himself with no assistance from anyone, but there are just too many tantalizing connections in this case for it to be the work of one man. In this post we will look at some more connections that just seem too much of a coincidence NOT to mean anything.

Mr. HUBERT - Now there is some information, Mr. Cabell, that Jack Ruby was around the hospital some place, either near the entrance or near the pressroom, or something of that sort. And, of course, I take it that you now know what he looks like, from pictures in the press?
Mr. CABELL - Well, I knew him by sight.
Mr. HUBERT - You knew him by sight prior to this?
Mr. CABELL - Yes.
Mr. HUBERT - How long had you known him?
Mr. CABELL - I would say for several years.
Another friend he had for years was Lawrence Meyers.
Mr. GRIFFIN. Do you know Jack Ruby?

Mr. GRIFFIN. Would you tell us how you. happened to first meet him?
Mr. MEYERS. Well, I met Jack Ruby originally, I would venture to say--now, I am guessing, it could vary a little bit--possibly 6 years ago, 6 or 7 years ago in that area, in the Carousel, in the club that he owned in Dallas.
It seems Mr. Meyers had a bad memory because Ruby only opened the Carousel Club in 1960.
Mr. GRIFFIN. I believe that Mr. Ruby actually opened the Carousel Club in 1960.
Mr. MEYERS. Well, then, that is when it was.
He would say from his first meeting with Ruby to the time of the assassination he must have met Ruby 20 or 25 times. He is then asked if he had any business dealings with Ruby (Meyers was a sales manager for a company called Ero Manufacturing at the time of the assassination), and here is what he said.
Mr. GRIFFIN. Did you have any business dealings with him?
Mr. MEYERS. Actual business dealings?
Mr. GRIFFIN. Yes.
Mr. MEYERS. No.
What did he mean by “actual” business dealings? Could these be for his company? And if so, what other kind of dealings did he have with Ruby if NOT “actual” ones? We don’t know as the WC just moved on.
I am posting this exchange simply for the reference to Meyers’ brother. Remember that he had a brother and remember the date of his last “face-to-face” meeting with Ruby.

Mr. MEYERS. Yes; he had a gimmick, I don't know what the heck to call it, some sort of a twistboard, I guess, for the want of a better word. He wanted to know first whether I would be interested in merchandising it because my company was in this field. Second, the last time I saw him face to face he wanted to know whether my brother would be interested in handling this as a premium item.

They were staying at the Adolphus Hotel. I was staying at the Cabana Motel. I think what happened is that I had called my brother earlier during the day at the Adolphus and was told that he was out at a dinner or something, so gathering that the convention had, and that he would--well, let me remember this. No; I talked to him. That was it. I talked to Eddie and I asked he and Thelma to have dinner with me that night and Eddie said he couldn't have dinner with me that night. He had to go--he and Thelma had to go to this party that was set up by some convention thing. But that he thought he would be through with that about 11 o'clock or so that evening. So I said, fine. Why don't you meet me at the Cabana Motel at 11 o'clock that evening, or, you know, when you get through, and I will be in--the club at the Cabana is called the Bon Vivant. Meet me in the Bon Vivant Room and we will say hello. I hadn't seen him for some time.
Meanwhile, I had stopped in to Jack's place that evening. I don't know what time. I would venture to say in the neighborhood of 9 o'clock that night. This was Thursday night, the 21st. I think that is pretty accurate because it comes back to me now.
I visited with Jack for about, oh, an hour, I don't know, just sat around there and yakked with him. Nothing of any consequence. He might have even brought up this amateur night thing again. Of course, you realize that was before any of this tragedy had struck. So then I told Jack that my brother and his wife were going to meet me for a drink at the Bon Vivant Room about 11 o'clock and if he had the time, why didn't he come over and meet us. So he said he would if he could. Well, I don't remember now--I guess possibly around 11:15 or so my brother and his wife came by and within the next half hour or less, Jack came by. So we sat there, and if I remember right, he had coffee. I have never seen him take a drink.
So we have this setup in play. Lawrence Meyers is staying at the Cabana Hotel and he is inviting Jack Ruby there for dinner. We also know he was in the Carousel Club club for an hour that Thursday night because he told us so.
Mr. GRIFFIN. How much time do you think you spent with him at the Carousel

During his investigation Jim Garrison checked records of this evening and learned that Lawrence Meyers’ son was also at the Cabana Hotel on the night of 11/21/63. His name was Ralph Meyers and he had a background in Army Intelligence.
Mr. GRIFFINS. Have you ever been a member of any political group, let me state it, have you ever been a member of any group who lobbied for any bills or----
Mr. MEYERS. Let me answer by telling you this. I have a daughter who is a nuclear chemist and who has worked at Argonne and various nuclear reactors. I have a son who was in the ASA for a couple of years.
Mr. GRIFFIN. What is the ASA?
Mr. MEYERS. Army Security Agency, who had a crypto clearance and I and my wife and my family and my wife's family have been investigated two or three times by various agencies who have to do with these things, and there is absolutely no record of any subversive, Communist, or neopolitical organization or any of this type.
…You see, when Vicki went to work for Argonne, she had to get a security clearance, and Ralph was in this operation, Ralph was stationed someplace outside of Turkey, and to this day he can't tell me what he did. I said, "Ralph, what were you actually doing." He said, "Dad, if you don't ask me I won't have to lie to you."
Why did the WC just move on from this instead of finding out more? Garrison learned that Ralph Meyers was an Army Intelligence agent with a crypto-clearance (higher than Top Secret) and that he had worked with U-2 planes in Turkey. And yet, despite the footprint of Military Intelligence being apparent in this case the WC just moved on.
So at this dinner we have Lawrence, Edward, Ralph and Jack Ruby. Ed Meyers had visited Mexico City during November 1963 to visit Ralph and of course LHO was alleged to have visited there in late September to early October 1963. The Pepsi Cola Bottlers Association meeting being attended by Edward Meyers was also the same one Richard Nixon was in town for. Is this just another coincidence? The dinner party possibly grew to include another person of interest in this case—Jim Braden.
Since Jim Braden used his credit card to pay for his drinks at the Bon Vivant Room it was easily clear to see he too was at the Cabana Hotel the night before JFK was murdered. Braden would be detained the next day and if the Dallas Police Department (DPD) had known his former name was Eugene Hale Brading they would have seen the man had a long list of arrests and ties to organized crime to his credit. One person who should have known him by sight was Sheriff Bill Decker (who we saw had ties to Joseph Campisi—Mob boss of Dallas) as he ran Braden out of town for embezzling money from rich widows. Why did Decker say nothing in 1963 when he surely would have known who Braden was?
Investigative reporter Peter Noyes found out quite a few things from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). He learned that Jim Braden was a suspected courier for the Meyer Lansky syndicate. Another person Lansky himself said he had worked with was Edward Meyers. The strange connections keep coming though as Lawrence Meyers had a companion on the night of November 21, 1963. Her name was Jean Aase (aka Jean West). Ms. Aase was an acquaintance of Jack Ruby’s too and he had met her earlier in the day at his club. Ms. Aase would be shopping at the time of the assassination with a dancer at Ruby’s club named Betty McDonald. She would return to Chicago with Lawrence Meyers and never would be questioned by the authorities about what she saw and heard on November 21 and 22, 1963.
Another odd thing pops up in this case when one looks at the layout of the Pierre Marquette building in New Orleans. Attorney G. Wray Gill had an office in this building (room 1707) and he was representing Mob boss Carlos Marcello in his deportation case (he would win the case on 11/22/63). One of the men working on the case with him was David Ferrie who had been LHO’s Civil Air Patrol officer years earlier.
Peter Noyes found that Jim Braden was in and out of room 1701 in the weeks preceding the assassination. What was he doing there? During his investigation for the Clay Shaw trial Jim Garrison obtained the telephone records of Gill’s office to see what kind of calls were being made. Gill provided these and said that Ferrie made many calls and some were “unauthorized.” It was noted that Ferrie had called Lawrence Meyers’ friend, Jean Aase, on the day LHO allegedly left for Mexico City. The WC would also publish the calls made by Lawrence Meyers in September to November 1963 in Commission Exhibit (CE) 2350. In this document Garrison matched up a number (Whitehall 4 – 4970) with the Gill records showing Lawrence Edwards had called her as well (November 20, 1963). In October 1963 Meyers had been introduced to Ms. Aase by his business partner, Les Baker, and Meyers would describe her as “a party girl, playgirl, a dumb but accommodating broad and semi-professional hooker.” They would leave for Dallas on November 20, 1963, and stay at the Cabana Hotel.

There is NO mention of Jim Braden, Jean Aase or Ralph Meyers being at the dinner. Why? Another thing to consider that has more connections to this case is—Guy Banister. He had been Special Agent in Charge (SAIC) for Chicago when he was in the FBI and one of his associates was Robert Maheu. Maheu would go on to join the CIA and researchers have said he was involved in the JFK assassination. He was also part of the Howard Hughes security team. It has been said Maheu (nicknamed IBM—Iron Bob Maheu) was the right-hand man of Mafioso Major Don Onassis and he was tasked with forming a hit team for killing Castro. Another thing that is NOT mentioned by anyone from what I have seen very much and is not discussed is the fact that Banister had been the Assistant Superintendent of the New Orleans Police Department, where he was given the task of investigating organized crime and corruption within the police force. This would have given him ample opportunity to bump into Carlos Marcello and his criminal activity.
This means Banister is a key man in this saga as he had contact with the Marcello criminal syndicate, David Ferrie, Clay Shaw and LHO (who had an uncle who worked for the Marcello syndicate).
And yet, none of these ties are mentioned in the WCR. Why not? We clearly see the WC claims are sunk due to the fact they did NOT test their theory against known evidence so how can it be accurate and true? It can’t be obviously. They willingly did NOT pursue hundreds of leads that would have lead to a conspiracy.

Another thing that is NOT mentioned by anyone from what I have seen very much and is not discussed is the fact that Banister had been the Assistant Superintendent of the New Orleans Police Department, where he was given the task of investigating organized crime and corruption within the police force. This would have given him ample opportunity to bump into Carlos Marcello and his criminal activity.
This means Banister is a key man in this saga as he had contact with the Marcello criminal syndicate, David Ferrie, Clay Shaw and LHO (who had an uncle who worked for the Marcello syndicate).
And yet, none of these ties are mentioned in the WCR. Why not? We clearly see the WC claims are sunk due to the fact they did NOT test their theory against known evidence so how can it be accurate and true? It can’t be obviously. They willingly did NOT pursue hundreds of leads that would have lead to a conspiracy.
