The Warren Commission (WC) claimed that the assassination of President John F. Kennedy (JFK) was the work of one man, Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO), as there was no conspiracy involved in the assassination.
Needless to say, especially if you have read my "Statement That Sink The WC's Conclusions" series, the WC failed to support this claim and all of the other ones outside the basics. Repeatedly, we see the actual evidence that they provided shows that their claim was false. That is how little regard they had for the American people as they passed on false information (disinformation) constantly and showed no remorse for doing so.
One such claim that is not supported beyond the word of WC witnesses was that LHO went back to the Paines' residence on November 21, 1963, to retrieve his alleged rifle to bring to work the next day to shoot JFK with. In the WC's report (WCR) they wrote the following about the events of November 21.

Then on Thursday morning, November 21, he asked [Wes] Frazier for a ride to Irving that night, stating falsely that he wanted to pick up some curtain rods to put in an apartment. (WCR, p. 421)

This is all based on claims by three WC witnesses -- Ruth Paine, Marina Oswald and Wes Frazier. Why would LHO need curtain rods when his roominghouse room had curtains already?

Why would LHO call a very tiny roominghouse room an "apartment?" Why did LHO not mention curtain rods to anyone else including his wife Marina? This is nothing but a claim by the WC based on three witnesses who were NEVER exposed to cross-examination. They could say anything they wanted, or more to the point -- whatever the WC wanted, as there was no fear of perjury or cross-examination by a defense lawyer.
Two of their own witnesses would say that LHO came to the Paine residence on November 21 to make up to Marina for a fight that they had on November 18 on the telephone. Here is what the WCR said about this.

This is totally different from what Wes Frazier said he was coming for -- which was curtain rods supposedly. Here is what Ruth Paine told the WC in her testimony about this issue.
Mr. JENNER - And because of this incident of the telephone call and your not being able to reach him, and the subsequent talk between Lee and Marina in which there had been some anger expressed, you girls reached the conclusion the afternoon of November 21 that he was home just to see if he could make up with Marina?
Mrs. PAINE - Yes.
Mr. JENNER - Do I fairly state it?
Mrs. PAINE - Yes.
There is no mention of curtain rods or plans to check on his alleged rifle. Another point that should be mentioned here is that Ruth Paine was a Quaker. Quakers are for peace, so why would Ruth Paine allow a "commie" to store a rifle in her garage if we are to believe what the WC claimed? Does this make any sense to you? It is a very important point that I have never heard any researcher or commentator mention in the past so I just want to put it out there.
We have already seen in my "Statements That Sink The WC's Conclusions" series that LHO did come to the Paines' house on October 31, 1963, so November 21 was not the first time that he came on a Thursday as the WC would claim. We also have no evidence showing that he came on November 21 for curtain rods beyond Frazier's claim that he did. See how shaky the WC's case was? How do you think this would have gone over in a court of law with defense counsel present?
We have two explanations for his trip on November 21 and neither one is for him to retrieve his alleged rifle as the WC would claim. The WC was helpful in finding out what LHO did at the Paines' house on that evening/night for us however and this is important.
Mr. JENNER - What did you do that evening? Did you have occasion to note what he did?
Mrs. PAINE - We had dinner as usual, and then I sort of bathed my children, putting them to bed and reading them a story, which put me in one part of the house. When that was done I realized he had already gone to bed, this being now about 9 o'clock. I went out to the garage to paint some children's blocks, and worked in the garage for half an hour or so. I noticed when I went out that the light was on.
Mr. JENNER - The light was on in the garage?
Mrs. PAINE - The light was on in the garage.
Mr. JENNER - Was this unusual?
Mrs. PAINE - Oh, it was unusual for it to be on; yes. I realized that I felt Lee, since Marina had also been busy with her children, had gone out to the garage, perhaps worked out there or gotten something. Most of their clothing was still out there, all of their winter things. They were getting things out from time to time, warmer things for the cold weather, so it was not at all remarkable that he went to the garage, but I thought it careless of him to have left the light on. I finished my work and then turned off the light and left the garage.
I won't go into the light issue as I have dealt with this section before in my "Statements That Sink The WC's Conclusions" series. The key for this post is what LHO was supposed to be doing per Ruth Paine. She said that he was in bed by 9 o'clock after he supposedly snuck out to the garage to get "something" (presumably the rifle). Again, this is not evidence but rather a guess by her.
Ruth Paine would later say that LHO was not expected that day at all and this was a surprise visit.
Mr. JENNER - ...Mrs. Paine, now that you have had a rest overnight, we would like to return to the late afternoon and the evening of November 21. Did Lee Harvey Oswald come to Irving, Tex., at any time that day?
Mrs. PAINE - He came some time shortly before 5:30 in the evening on the 21st.
Mr. JENNER - Had either you or Marina, I limit it to you first, had you had any notice or intimation whatsoever that Lee Harvey Oswald would appear on that day?
Mrs. PAINE - Absolutely none.
Mr. JENNER - And his appearance was a complete surprise to you?
Mrs. PAINE - That is correct.
Again, this is meant to support the WC narrative that LHO abruptly came for his rifle, but it could work the other way too. Why would LHO wait until the last minute to decide to kill JFK and retrieve his rifle at the last minute? The main problem with this claim is the issue of how he hid it all evening and in the morning before he allegedly put it into the paper bag he allegedly made at the Texas School Book Depository (TSBD). How did he break it down with Marina there? How did he know how to break it down? Where did he hide the bag as Frazier never said that he saw it? If he had hid it then it would have had to be folded, but the bag in evidence has NO folding lines on it. Why? These and thousands of other questions have never been answered for the American people.
If LHO went to the Paines as the WC claimed, and Ruth and Marina Oswald said was true, how do we explain this other sighting of him on November 21, 1963, at possibly the same time?

Mr. [Joseph] JOHNSON advised his working hours while employed at the speed wash located at 1101 North Beckley were from 7:00 PM to 12:00 midnight. He related that on the evening of 20 or 21 November, 1963, he recalls seeing an individual he later determined from photographs in the local newspapers to be LEE HARVEY OSWALD washing laundry at Reno's Speed Wash. He stated that OSWALD did not converse with anyone and, in fact, sat reading magazines until 12:00 midnight, at which time the merchant patrolman, name unrecalled, requested him to leave as the speed wash was closing. Mr. JOHNSON stated OSWALD did not immediately leave, but remained sitting and continued to read magazines for an additional five minutes, at which time he picked up his laundry and left. Mr. JOHNSON advised this was the only time he recalls seeing OSWALD at Reno's Speed Wash... (Commission Document (CD) 1364, p. 6)

If it was November 21, how could LHO be at the Paines' home and at Reno's Speed Wash at the same time? It could have been both as Joseph Johson said he only saw LHO once, but W.C. Caughran worked as a merchant patrolman and he told the FBI that he saw LHO more than once.

This shows us that LHO was there on more than one occasion. The behavior of the man also makes it seem like it was the LHO that was killed in Dallas Police custody and not an imposter. While we can't say definitively that LHO was there on November 21, there is a good possibility that he was. That would mean the whole visit to Irving to see Marina was like everything else in this case -- made up. It was needed by the WC to explain how LHO retrieved his alleged hidden rifle at the last minute, but all we have to go on is the word of Ruth Paine, Marina Oswald and Wes Frazier and they all reasons to go along with the official narrative.
Further confirmation of LHO using this laundromat is found in an FBI interview with Mrs. Gena Scarborough. Here is what the FBI wrote about what she told them.
