The Warren Commission (WC) claimed that Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO) assassinated President John F. Kennedy (JFK) all by himself on November 22, 1963. They further stated that he had no help at all in his planning of the crime. This means that no one besides LHO should have known about the pending assassination.
The problem with this claim is that we have seen numerous examples of foreknowledge already in this series and this just could not happen IF LHO acted all by himself as the WC claimed. Unless he put out ads or printed leaflets telling people about his plans no one else should have known about it, and yet, many did.
This article will look at another incident that was reported to the FBI that would show foreknowledge of the assassination and how the FBI immediately tried to make the person who reported it look "mentally unstable."

Irvin Ostrow reported an incident that occurred in his cab in November when he picked up a woman at the Belvedere Hotel and took her to the Friendship Airport in Baltimore. Here is Ostrow's account of the incident.

While enroute, the woman talked about being at a party at the White House where plans were made for the assassination of President KENNEDY. This woman allegedly had the full details which happened just as she said it would with President KENNEDY riding in an open car and being shot. OSTROW stated that he thought the woman was a "nut" and had completely forgotten the matter, not even remembering it when President KENNEDY was actually assassinated in Texas. On January 10, 1964, his driving to the airport again was the only thing which made him remember this story. (Commission Document (CD) 1107, p. 33)

What do you think the FBI did with this information? Well, if you have been reading this series for a while then you know what they did and it wasn't trying to find this woman right away. No, instead they went to talk with a Mrs. A. Lee Wright who was a librarian at the Spring Grove State Hospital for mental patients to see if Irvin Ostrow was a patient. They found out that he was not, but that his brother Alexander had been a patient since 1947. Why would their first reaction be to find out if he was a mental patient? They did this every time someone passed on information that either did not support the official conclusion or pointed towards a conspiracy. If this had been an honest investigation then this would not have happened, but clearly it was not an honest investigation.
Since Irvin Ostrow had not been a mental patient as they hoped, they turned their attention to his sister. Ostrow had provided her information, and they quickly contacted her to find out more about her brother. Keep in mind, they still had not even bothered to learn more about this woman in order to locate her. Once again, like we have seen numerous times in this series, when a person said something that the authorities did not want to hear their relatives quickly pointed out that they had "mental issues"; "wanted to be famous;" "had a drinking problem" or in the case of Ostrow, "dreamed things and then believed that they actually happened." (Ibid., p. 34) What else did you expect at this point?
According to his sister, Jean Coonin, he told these types of stories so often that the family had learned to just ignore them. (Ibid.) She felt, even though she was in the cab, that this was all a dream of her brother and that it never happened. Needless to say, this is just what the FBI wanted to hear as it would let them just drop the matter instead of actually investigating it like they were supposed to do. Jean Coonin's big piece of proof was that he had never told anyone in the family about this so it must not have happened.
This is crazy as it went against what she just told the FBI that her brother constantly told stories to his family, so, why would he NOT tell this great story if he "dreamed" it? Furthermore, the reason he never told her or the family was because he forgot about it and he told the FBI this in his initial statement. He said he did not recall it until January 10, 1964, when he drove back to the airport he had taken her to. (Ibid., p. 33)
After these contacts the FBI went back to Ostrow to reinterview him on January 17, 1964. In this interview we finally get some details on the woman. This is what Ostrow told the FBI about the woman and what she had told him would happen to JFK.

He described the woman as being about 35 years of age, white, 5' 5" tall, having gray hair, wearing a red coat and slacks, color unknown. She did not carry any luggage. OSTROW stated that on the way to the Friendship International Airport, which is located between Baltimore and Washington, D.C., he suggested to the woman that he drive her on over to Washington, D.C. She allegedly told him that BOB KENNEDY was sending a plane to Friendship Airport to pick her up and take her to Washington, D.C. OSTROW stated that the woman claimed that she had been at a party at the White House in Washington, D.C., the night before and present at the party where President and Mrs. JOHN F. KENNEDY, Attorney General ROBERT KENNEDY, PREMIER KHRUSHCHEV and other high government officials whose names OSTROW could not recall. The woman allegedly told OSTROW that all of the foregoing individuals discussed the coming assassination of President KENNEDY and had the exact details of how it would happen. President KENNEDY allegedly knew that on his next trip that he would be riding in an open car, he would be shot from behind and his poor wife would grab him and hold him after he was shot. Mrs. KENNEDY also knew that this was to be her part in the procedure. OSTROW stated that he understood KHRUSHCHEV was also to be shot at the same time, but realized that this part of the story had actually not happened. (Ibid., pp. 34-35)

Okay, perhaps she was nuts! I have seen the theory where some say that JFK was not actually shot, but rather a double was. That is the only way to think of this story. Did this woman really know Robert F. Kennedy (RFK)? Would he really send a plane for her? IF she had been at the White House the previous evening, how did she get to the Belvedere Hotel in Baltimore? She was picked up between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. too. Why not just stay in Washington, D.C., IF you need to be there the next morning?
Who has gray hair at 35 years of age unless they dye it that color? Was Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev in Washington weeks before the assassination? This one should have been easy to check on. True, he could have come in an incognito way, but who does that to just to find out you are going to be shot? Why would Khrushchev ride in a motorcade with JFK in Dallas? Can you imagine how that would have gone over in Texas and other places?
We do have to remember that JFK took off his St. Jude and St. Christopher medals and left them in the shower on the morning of November 22, 1963. They were found by Secret Service agent Ron Pontius. Why would he do this? He spoke of death a lot in the months before the assassination too. The only thought worth considering, and of course you could never prove it, was JFK was approached by the power and told he had two options.
Firstly, he could go into hiding (some have suggested Aristotle Onassis' secluded island) and let a double die in his place so that he could be replaced by a man who knew who was really in charge.
Secondly, he could refuse and actually be assassinated and perhaps become a martyr for future generations.
If we go by the medals and his love for Jackie and his children he might have chosen option one. The same people who propose this say this is why Jackie married Aristotle Onassis so she could see JFK. I know, it sounds far-fetched, but it is something to think about. What do you think happened?
Her story would be more credible if it didn't include JFK and Jackie going along with it. Still, this does not make Ostrow a nut as he was just repeating what this woman told him.
The FBI did speak with Captain Carl Kunaniec at the Friendship International Airport about this woman, but he said that he had no information about her. He told the FBI that "many people turn up at the Friendship Airport who appear to be mentally unbalanced and who claim they are personal friends or are waiting to meet persons of national prominence." (Ibid., p. 35) It is amazing how many people who said things that did not agree with the official conclusion had a "mental issue." It seemed to be rampant.
Based on Ostrow's recollection this does sound highly unlikely, but the main point of this article is that the FBI did NOT investigate this lead properly. They never identified the woman. They never talked with the woman. Why didn't the FBI go to the Belvedere Hotel to trace her that way? She had to be registered there since Ostrow picked her up there. The point is the FBI didn't even try to find this woman to see if she was nuts or actually a very good lead.
Who knows? She could have been someone who worked at the White House for all we know. I admit that this sounds wacky, but this case is full of wacky things, and I always feel better IF we can eliminate things once they have been properly investigated, and that is why so little has been eliminated in this case as hardly anything was properly investigated (or investigated at all).
This particular incident never was; therefore, we cannot know if it was accurate or not, hence, the WC's conclusion cannot be correct since they ignored countless stories like this one before rushing to their final conclusion. Their conclusion is sunk once again.
