This all comes from Ira David Wood's Chronology of 11/22/63, except for the first comment. (*_*)
This will not be a total chronology as others have done this very well already. My purpose is to lay a background to the assassination and mention things that could point to a foreknowledge or warning of the event to come.
*6:30 p.m. 11/21/63
Marty Underwood, Democratic National Committee Political Advance man, said "We were getting all sorts of rumors that the President was going to be assassinated in Dallas; there were no ifs, ands or buts about it." When Underwood told President John F. Kennedy (JFK) about these disturbing reports, the President merely said, "Marty, you worry about me too much."*
12:00 a.m. 11/22/63
Madrid, Spain - the CIA reports hearing from a Cuban journalist who claims to have received a letter stating that GPIDEAL (President Kennedy) will be killed today.
In today's issue of Life magazine, Clint Murchinson's lawyers, Bedford Wynne and Thomas Webb, are named as members of the "Bobby Baker" set. Wynne is under federal investigation regarding government funds he is receiving through a Murchinson family corporation, some of which have wound up as payoffs (through Webb) to the law firm of Bobby Baker (Baker is Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson's (LBJ) right hand man. Murchinson's empire overlaps with that of the mafia's financial expert Meyer Lansky and teamster leader Jimmy Hoffa.)
2:00 a.m.
Seven Secret Service (SS) agents are still drinking at the "Cellar Door". Several of the women serving liquor to the agents are strippers from Jack Ruby's "Carousel Club" in Dallas. The owner of the "Cellar Door" is Pat Kirkwood and he is a licensed pilot who owns a twin-engine plane. He will fly to Mexico hours after the assassination.
2:15 a.m.
Mary Lawrence, head waitress of the Lucas B & B restaurant - two doors down from the Vegas Club, says she is positive that Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO) enters the restaurant and tells her and the night cashier that he is waiting for Jack Ruby. When Ruby enters the restaurant they sit together and talk for over an hour and a half and then leave. A week and a half after the assassination, Mary will receive a phone call from an unknown man who says, "If you don't want to die, you better get out of town."
6:15 a.m.
Mrs. Marie Tippit has made breakfast for her husband, Dallas police officer J.D. Tippit (JDT), who routinely leaves the house no later than 6:15 a.m. each day.
7:15 a.m.
LHO leaves home for work and Marina states he leaves his wedding ring and wallet on the dresser. The police say they find a wallet on LHO when he is arrested at the Texas Theater and the police claim to find another wallet at the Tippit murder scene. There is no indication he ever used two wallets let alone three.
(Note: If you look at CE 1148 which is the official list of items taken off of LHO at the time of his arrest you will see NO wallet listed.)
The odd thing about the ring is it is not listed by the Dallas Police Department (DPD) on their inventory list after they search Ruth Paine's home. It does not show up in any of the evidence photos taken at DPD headquarters nor is it listed in a joint DPD/FBI inventory taken on 11/26/63.
7:30 a.m.
The WC has LHO on the way to work at the Texas School Book Depository (TSBD), but Top Ten Record Shop (Oak Cliff) owner, J.W. "Dub" Stark, puts him in his store at this time. He says LHO buys a ticket for the "Dick Clark Show" and then leaves by bus. He further claims LHO returned later and purchased another ticket and JDT was in the store, but they did not speak to each other.
8:15 a.m.
DPO Hansen reportedly sees Jack Ruby on the Hardwood sidewalk by City Hall where Dallas Police Officers assemble to get their assignments for JFK's visit.
8:30 a.m.
LHO reportedly enters the Jiffy store at 310 S. Industrial. Fred.Moore, the store clerk says identification of this individual arose when he asked him for identification for proof of age for two bottles of beer. The man pulled out his wallet and showed him a Texas driver license (the LHO married to Marina could not drive) and the name on it was either Lee Oswald or H. Lee Oswald. He further said the year of birth was 39 and he thought it was the 10th month. (SA David Barry 12/2/63)
8:45 a.m.
Desmond Fitzgerald, senior CIA officer, meets with (AM/LASH) Rolando Cubela in Paris, France. Fitzgerald delivers assurances of full support of the U.S. Government in the overthrow of the Castro regime, which includes the murder of the highest officials. He then gives him a pen, which is filled with poison, to use on Castro. CIA head, McCone's, executive assistant, Walt Elder, will talk with Fitzgerald on the weekend of the assassination and he tells Elder he has met with Cubela. He does not mention the poison pen to be used on Castro or the fact that he pretended to be Robert F. Kennedy’s (RFK) emissary. Elder went on to recount how the usual "calm and cool" Fitzgerald was very "distraught and overreacting" a condition he never recalled for Fitzgerald.
9:00 a.m.
LHO reportedly returns to the Jiffy store to buy to pieces of peco brittle. (SA David Barry 12/2/63)
10:00 a.m.
George H.W. Bush calls the FBI to report that a man by the name of James Parrott has been talking of killing JFK when he comes to Houston. Bush is the chairman of the Harris County Republican Organization and a supporter of Goldwater.
