Let's continue with IGNORED witnesses that saw something odd shortly before the assassination. Philip Hathaway saw a very large man carrying what he described as a "gun case" (i.e. rifle carrier). He of course was NEVER called before the Warren Commission (WC) or even interviewed about what he saw. IF someone thinks they saw a man carrying a gun case a short distance (Bill Brown said it is like blocks away from Dealey Plaza (DP), but he thinks the man who is very tall could not walk that distance in 35 minutes, meanwhile, he thinks Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO) who was much shorter (thus has shorter legs) could walk nearly a mile in less than 10 minutes!) from where President John F. Kennedy will be shot don't you think that warrants at least an interview?
I sure do, but obviously the WC, and the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA), felt differently. Then we are supposed to believe they were "searching for the truth", right? Hathaway even had corroboration for his story by a co-worker (something NONE of the WC's "star witnesses had by the way)!

Philip Hathaway was walking on Akard St. towards Main St. a little before noon with his friend John Lawrence when he saw something of interest. Here is is affidavit on the event:

Before me, the undersigned authority, on this the 22nd day of November A.D. 1963 personally appeared Philip Ben Hathaway Address 11021 Quail Run, Dallas Age 28 , Phone No. DI 8 6532 DOB: July 9, 1935 DOB: Chicago, Ill. Wks: Lone Star Gas Co, Research & Development Dept. RI 1 5711 Ext 776

Just before Noon today, my friend John Stevens Rutter Lawrence, who works with me, and I and two other friends left the Texaco Building where we work going to the parade. We were walking down Commerce up to Main and Main to Akard and while [sic] we were walking up Akard towards Main Street we passed a man who was carrying a rifle in a gun case. I saw this man walking towards me, walking towards Commerce, and too particular attention to him because of his [sic] size. I am 6'5" and weigh 200 pounds. This man was very tall, approx 6'6" or 6'7" over 250 pounds, very thick and big through the chest, in his 30's, dirty blonde hair worn in a crew cut. Was wearing a grey colored business suit with white dress shirt, fair complexion. I remarked to my friend that there was a guy carrying a gun in all this crowd and made the remark that he was probably a secret service man. I could very easily identify this man if I ever saw him again. The gun case was holding a rifle because I could tell there was a gun in it as it was a combination leather and cloth gun case and without a gun, it would have been limp, but it was heavy and he was carrying it by the handle and the barrell [sic] of the gun was up at a 45 degree angle. It was beige or tan leather and olive drab material.
We can place the time we saw this man walking with the gun as I recall someone in the crowd asking for the time and they said it was 11:50A.M.

Sounds interesting, huh? Well obviously NOT to the WC as they NEVER called either him or his friend before them. Hathaway made the comment to his friend that he must be Secret Service (SS). I would guess he thought this because who else would be carrying a gun near Main St.? Also, he said he could identify the man IF he ever saw him again, thus, if the Dallas Police Department (DPD) and FBI were running an honest investigation they would have at least tried to have him identify the man he saw. I realize it could be tough if this was a gun for hire, but the TOTAL LACK OF EFFORT to even try speaks volumes as to the interest level of the DPD/FBI/WC in investigating anything that did NOT lead to LHO.
Lawrence also gave an affidavit and it is similar to Hathaway's:

Today at about 11:45AM me and Phil Hathaway and two other fellows left the Texaco Building, where we all work together, to go see the parade and President Kennedy. In just a few minutes after we got out on the street and walking down Akard, Phil called my attention a big man and said he was carrying a rifle. I looked and saw the man but due to a big rush of noontime people, I did not see the rifle. I took particular attention to him because of his size. I was walking with my friend Phil Hathaway who is 6'5" and this man was fairly close to his size, maybe a little taller, he was thick chested and big through the shoulders, maybe 250 pounds or more, but not fat, he gave me the impression of perhaps a professional football player. He had dirty blonde hair and was a short crew cut. He was approximately in his 30's. He was wearing a business suit and I believe it was light in color, perhaps tan, a white business shirt. I could identify this man if I ever saw him again.

We see Lawrence too said he could identify the man if he ever saw him again, and again, NO effort was made to see if this could be done. The most reliable types of witnesses are the ones that have CORROBORATION to their stories! This is an example of the WC ignoring witnesses who had corroboration while embracing many who had NONE (i.e. Brennan, Markham, Bledsoe, etc...).
What could be the excuse for not finding out who this could have been as this was just 40 minutes before the shooting of the president! In my mind there is NO excuse for this behavior by the DPD/FBI/WC.
We again see evidence that disputes the claims of the WCR, therefore, their conclusion is sunk again.
