I think Mac Wallace convinced Loy Factor that Richard Cain was Lee Oswald and Roderick Mackenzie mixed up a few things because he was drunk and running back and forth to the restroom to write stuff down as Mac Wallace was drunkenly telling it to Mackenzie:
<begin quote>
Command area on the second floor of the Texas School Book Depository (TSBD):
Cliff Carter, Carlos Marcello, Jack Rubenstein, George Reese; In the alley behind the fence and above the so-called Grassy Knoll: Clyde Foust, John Ernst, Jack Grimm, Joseph P. Dugan; under the bridge in case the president was not shot, and above the railroad area (these people were never used): Charles Harrelson, Percy Chauncy Holt, Charles Frederick Rogers, a man called "Dimitri" from ACCC.
Roof of the County Records Building: Harry Weatherford, Roger Craig, Richard Scalzetti, Michael Victor Mertz.
Sixth floor of the TSBD in the nest and other setup areas: Ruth Ann Martinez, Lee Harvey Oswald (under a spell according to Mac), Mac Wallace, and Lawrence Loy Factor.
The Dal-Tex Building (the team was supposed to be on top but had problems):
Eugene Hale Brading, Frank Fiorelli (Sturgis), Raphael "Chi Chi" Quintero, and Richard Cain...MacKenzie: The fact that my Kennedy story is based me running as I sobered up back and forth to write the words of Mac Wallace in the bathroom, is not the best foundation for the listing of the culprits.
<end quote>
Specifically what I think Mackenzie mixed up is:
- Harrelson was not under the bridge, he was the railroad worker seen by Ed Hoffman.
- Chauncey Holt and Charles Rogers were in the train car during the shooting and until taken out of the train car and arrested.
- Roger Craig and Michael Victor Mertz (aka Jean Rene Souetre) were not on the roof of the County Records Building, Craig was in front of the sheriff's office on Main Street and Michael Victor Mertz (aka Jean Rene Souetre) was on the North Knoll as seen by Malcolm Summers, Ed Hoffman, DPD Smith, and as spoken about by E.H. Hunt.
- The Oswald on the sixth floor per Mackenzie and Loy Factor both was actually Richard Cain.
- Frank Fiorelli [fiorini] (Sturgis) was not in the Dal-Tex but was on the hood of the 1955 Chevy on the South Knoll, he shot Connally who spun around into Sturgis' shot meant for JFK.
- Richard Cain was not in the Dal-Tex but in 411 Elm, 6th floor, southeast window, Oswald framer.
Oswald may have been on the 5th floor to be framed, after he bit down on the cyanide capsule and died, amid pro-castro leaflets all over the ground around him and the chicken bones and the elevator on the 5th floor and the Carcano (now assembled since Oswald left it with his contact in 411 Elm that morning) on the window sill, but Oswald didn't bite down on the cyanide capsule and came out of the hypnotism and fled the 5th floor to the 2nd or 1st floor, ahead of Victoria Adams being on the stairs, before the shots rang out in Dealey Plaza.
Maybe Jarman and Norman woke Oswald out of the hypnotism or maybe Oswald had fled the 5th floor before Jarman and Norman arrived.
"Mooney said that both Cain and Nicoletti were actual gunmen for the hit, being placed at opposite ends of the Dallas Book Depository. In fact, he asserted it was Cain, not Oswald, who'd actually fired from the infamous sixth-story window." from Double Cross, p. 334.
"You know," Nicoletti whispered, "Oswald didn't really fire a shot." from Double Cross p. 346.
Per Nagell, who doesn't say which floor in 411 Elm that Oswald the patsy was on:
<begin quote>
Patsy awakens from hypnotic trance. Says, "What am I doing here?" Wonders what cyanide capsule is doing clenched between teeth? Wonders what cloak and dagger is doing on window sill? Wonders why floor of room is lettered with pro-Castor Oil pamphlets? Wonders how chicken bones got in lunch pail? Memory returns. Patsy flees.
