The Warren Commission (WC) said Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO) was a loner. They said this repeatedly as they denied any connection to anyone else when it would come up (i.e. to Jack Ruby). As we saw in a previous post in this series LHO was anything but a loner as he had many agencies keeping an eye on him for quite some time leading up to the assassination.
Also, we have to wonder how this would apply to a loner.
***********************************************
During his testimony before the WC Captain Fritz (head of Robbery & Homicide) said this:
Mr. Dulles. What was Oswald's attitude toward the police and police authority?
Mr. Fritz. You know I didn't have trouble with him. If we would just talk to him quietly like we are talking right now, we talked all right until I asked him a question that meant something, every time I asked him a question that meant something, that would produce evidence he immediately told me he wouldn't tell me about it and he seemed to anticipate what I was going to ask. In fact, he got so good at it one time, I asked him if he had had any training, if he hadn't been questioned before.
Questioned before? Why would a loner have been questioned before? Isn’t that one of the main points researchers make – that LHO was NOT debriefed by the CIA when he came back from Russia per the government? Why would LHO have learned to handle interrogation when he had NO connection to anyone per the WC?
Mr. Dulles. Questioned before?
Mr. Fritz. Questioned before, and he said that he had, he said yes, the FBI questioned him when he came back from Russia from a long time and they tried different methods. He said they tried the buddy boy method and thorough method, and let me see some other method he told me and he said, "I understand that."
Oh, I see, so it was the FBI’s INTERVIEW of him that gave him the “training” to handle the Dallas Police Department’s (DPD) questioning! That explains it. NOT! You see, the FBI was so thorough they didn’t even know when LHO came back to Texas.
On June 26, 1962, they interviewed LHO’s brother, Robert, and he was asked to inform them [the FBI] when LHO returned to Texas. Since LHO had already returned this left Robert Oswald with a conclusion not very complimentary to the FBI.
Mr. Jenner. Would you give again the full conversation?
Mr. Oswald. On that date of June 26, 1962?
Mr. Jenner. Yes, between yourself and your wife Vada.
Mr. Mckenzie. To the best of your recollection.
Mr. Jenner. Yes.
Mr. Oswald. To the best of my recollection, the full text of my conversation with my wife was that Mr. Fain or some other member of the FBI Bureau in Fort Worth, Tex., had called and spoke to her and requested that she pass on to Lee Harvey Oswald that they would like to speak to him at their office in Fort Worth, Tex.
I would not say this was part of the conversation, I would assume at that time, as I would assume now, that perhaps he asked her was Lee and his family there.
If you know my wife, she didn't lie to Mr. Fain or any other FBI agent, and she said he was, and perhaps this prompted the request. I might say this, sir. If they did not know that Lee Harvey Oswald had returned in June, until June 26, 1962, somebody was asleep on the job.
”Somebody was asleep on the job” Robert Oswald said, and based on the tragic events of 11/22/63 they had to be IF you buy the OFFICIAL conclusion. They did NOT even know the man they were looking for to question was back in Texas! By August it became a matter of where he actually lived.
Mr. Jenner. All right. What did he say and what did you say?
Mr. Oswald. He inquired as to where Lee was living at at that time and to the best of my recollection my reply to him was that I did not know the house number. I knew the street not by name but by locale and I gave him this location.
Why was the FBI so confused about LHO’s whereabouts when they were tracking his various activities with the Passport office to name but one? Is this the same FBI that made LHO so adept at interrogation?
Also, isn’t the fact that the FBI is asking Robert Oswald, and his wife Vada, about LHO suggest he is NOT a loner? It does to me. A true loner would have NO contact with anyone so asking them about him or his whereabouts would be a waste of time.
This constant surveillance of LHO’s family and wife shows he was NOT a loner as claimed by the WC, thus, their conclusion is sunk again.
