The Warren Commission (WC) could NOT find anyone to show Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO) practiced with a rifle in the months (or years after he left the Marines) leading up to the assassination. The closest they could come was a CLAIM by Marina Oswald.

This is from Marina Oswald’s WC testimony.
Mr. RANKIN. Do you know where he practiced with the rifle?
Mrs. OSWALD. I don't know where. I don't know the name of the place where this took place. But I think it was somewhere out of town. It seems to me a place called Lopfield.
Mr. RANKIN. Would that be at the airport---Love Field?
Mrs. OSWALD. Love Field.
Mr. RANKIN. So you think he was practicing out in the open and not at a rifle range?
Mrs. OSWALD. Yes.
Obviously this is ridiculous as I doubt LHO would be shooting off rounds at the airport, but if you have any doubts then simply check out CE-1401. This document is a FBI report that dealt with interviews with Marina. It is from December 1-7, 1963. On page 757 (286 in the original writing on the bottom) she is quoted as saying this:

...She cannot recall ever hearing Oswald state that he was going to fire the rifle in practice. She said that the only time she knows that he fired the rifle was the time he confessed at he had tried to kill General Walker by shooting at him with the rifle. She said the only time she believes he could have practiced firing the rifle would have been when he was supposed to have been attending evening typewriting class.

The "confession" has no way of being shown to have happened, thus, it is worthless. Even more so when we consider spousal privilege. Also, there is ZERO evidence that shows LHO fired at Gen. Walker. Thus, that time is out the window. The last part is interesting as she claimed he could have (one of the WC's favorite terms) gone practicing in the evening when he should have been attending typewriting classes, but they did NOT even try to show this is true. If it was a class there should have been ATTENDANCE, right? Why not show us he missed this night, that night and this night IF he did? Did he even go to this class? Who knows for sure.
The MAIN point here is the first statement in red shows she did NOT know LHO was out practicing with the rifle because he NEVER told her he was, so how in the world could she know what she told the WC was true (he was practicing at Love Field)? She couldn't. It shows me she was coached and changed her tune from 12/5/63 (the time of the interview) to the time she appeared before the WC.
We again see a claim by the WC is incorrect, therefore, their conclusion is sunk again.
