This post pertains to the Backyard Photographs (BYPs). We can argue forever about them, and have, but how do you reconcile these statement by Marina Oswald IF she really took them?
*********************************************
First off, she couldn't even remember when she took them!
Mr. RANKIN. Do you recall the day that you took the picture of him with the rifle and the pistol?
Mrs. OSWALD. I think that that was towards the end of February, possibly the beginning of March. I can't say exactly. Because I didn't attach any significance to it at the time. That was the only time I took any pictures.
I don't know how to take pictures. He gave me a camera and asked me someone should ask me how to photograph, I don't know.
There are a couple of things of interest here. First of all, the time frame is totally wrong as he would not have had the alleged weapons to pose with in that time frame. Secondly, if she did NOT know how to take photographs why are the alleged BYP's so good? I mean, there were NO head cuts, no blurriness, and no signs of an inexperienced photographer at all. Don't you find that odd? Especially, when we consider the type of camera allegedly used. The Imperial Reflex had a waist-level viewfinder which makes it even more difficult to use.
I find this comment odd, too!
Mr. RANKIN. Was it on a day off that you took the picture?
Mrs. OSWALD. It was on a Sunday.
So she can't tell what month it was, but she KNOWS it was a Sunday?
REMEMBER this comment!
Mr. RANKIN. And he was dressed up with a pistol at the same time, was he?
Mrs. OSWALD. Yes.
REMEMBER these comments too!
Mr. RANKIN. And are those the pictures you took when you were out hanging up diapers, and your husband asked you to take the pictures of him?
Mrs. OSWALD. Yes.
Mr. RANKIN. With the pistol and the rifle?
Mrs. OSWALD. Yes.
-------------
Mr. RANKIN. You recognize that as a pistol of your husband?
Mrs. OSWALD. Yes.
So if she saw him with a pistol when she allegedly took the BYP's (at the wrong time and with NO knowledge of how to take them according to her own words), why did she tell this to Senator Russell of the WC?
Sen Russell: Why do you suppose he told you about the fact that he was going to shoot MR. NIXON and had shot at General Walker?
Mrs. Oswald: As regards General Walker, he came home late. He left me a note and so that is the reason why he discussed the Walker affair with me.
Now in regard to Mr. Nixon, he got dressed up in his suit and put a gun in his belt.
Sen Russell: You testified in his belt--I was going to ask about that, because that was a very unusual place to carry a gun. Usually, he would carry it in his coat. Did you EVER SEE HIM have a gun in his belt before?
Mrs. Oswald: NO; I would have NOTICED it if he did.
Sen. Russell: I see--you would have NOTICED it.
Mrs. Oswald: And so--I HAVE NEVER BEFORE SEEN HIM WITH THE PISTOL.
This exchange can be found in volume V, page 596.
Keep in mind, this alleged incident (gunning for Nixon) took place on April 23, 1963! The alleged BYP's took place on March 31, 1963! She said she had NEVER SEEN HIM WITH THE PISTOL BEFORE APRIL 23! How can this be when we take into account her earlier claims? It can't be.
This is called REASONABLE DOUBT folks! This sinks her claims about the BYPs all by itself.
