The Warren Commission (WC) made a lot of unsupported claims like Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO) assassinated President John F. Kennedy (JFK) on November 22, 1963. They also ignored a good bit of evidence that would have called into question their claims. We have looked at odd evidence in quite a few previous articles already and this article will look at another example of this evidence.
****************************************************
A point made by Earlene Roberts, the housekeeper at LHO's alleged rooming house*, sinks the WC's claim in regard to the shooting of Dallas Police Officer J.D. Tippit (JDT).
[*Note: I am using the word alleged here as in my mind there is a little bit of doubt as to whether the LHO killed in Dallas ever stayed there as the WC claimed. IF he did, then there may be evidence of Jack Ruby visiting him there and this alone is odd since the WC claimed that they did not know each other. For more on this possibility, please see this article from the "Statements That Sink The WC's Conclusions" series.

There is also evidence showing that a number of things were going on in the weeks leading up to the assassination at 1026 N. Beckley that belies the tale we were told of it being a quiet little rooming house in a quiet little neighborhood. For more information about these "goings on", please see this article from the "Statements That Sink The WC's Conclusions" series.]

I know some researchers might find this hard to believe (that LHO never stayed at that rooming house), but the WC lied about everything. Years ago, I received unbelievable pushback on my statement that LHO never owned a rifle -- even by CTers -- but twenty years later I think the actual evidence bears this out. The same thing happened when I said he never went to Mexico City. Again, the evidence bears this out.
I also do not think he ever stayed at the Neely address as that is just too convenient for the WC story. I will be posting about that topic later on in the "Statements That Sink The WC's Conclusions" series.
Now, back to what Roberts stated regarding what she saw LHO doing when he allegedly left the rooming house.+
[+Note: Again, what IF he never stayed there? That would really blow up their "he shot JDT" story. I get asked a lot by CTers this question when I say he probably was driven away from the Texas School Book Depository (TSBD) Building, "How did he get to the rooming house then?"
What IF he never went there because he never lived there? What if he was just driven to the Texas Theater (TT) to wait for his contact? We have been trained to accept the WC's narrative even when we don't believe it. It requires us to spend time like I have for many years debunking a totally FALSE narrative!
What IF NONE of it is accurate? Think about it.]

...Then she said, "...A moment later looked out the window. I saw Lee Oswald standing on the curb at the bus stop just to the right and on the same side of the street as our house. I just glanced out the window that once. I don't know how long Lee Oswald stood at the curb, nor did l see the direction he went when he left there. (Earlene Roberts Affidavit, VII, p. 439)

I have already looked at the timetable for getting LHO from the rooming house to Tenth and Patton in time necessary to shoot JDT and have seen that it was impossible even if JDT was shot at “around 1:16 p.m.” as the WC claimed.
Of course, the WC's star witness, Helen Markham, said that JDT was shot at 1:06 or 1:07 p.m., but even if we ignore this, Roberts’ statement totally sinks the WC's claim. Why?
Because if LHO couldn’t have gotten from the rooming house to the scene of the crime in the twelve or thirteen minutes as the WC claimed (LHO supposedly left his rooming house about 3 or 4 minutes after 1:00 p.m. and JDT was shot “around 1:16 p.m.") then it is totally out of the question if there was LESS time.
The WC's model had him departing the second after Roberts looked away, but she said that, “I don't know how long Lee Oswald stood at the curb…” therefore, he could have stood there for three, four, five, or more minutes. As long as it was less than thirty minutes when the three policemen came looking for him, he was set.
By the way, how did the DPD know about LHO's rooming house so fast when his own wife didn't know about it? Furthermore, the address wasn't known to anyone at the TSBD either. This has never been satisfactorily explained for us.
So, if LHO stood there for 4 minutes let's say that means he would have started walking at either 1:07 or 1:08 p.m. and that means he could have never gotten to Tenth and Patton without running at top speed the whole way. But no one saw this and no one described the man that the WC claimed was LHO as being out of breath either.
This is just more evidence showing that the claims of the WC were totally incorrect and false.
