I have read that David Ferrie was a hypnotist. If he was then he would have been in place to hypnotize two key members in this case – Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO) and Jack Ruby.
Jack Martin brought up the topic when he was interviewed by the FBI, agents Regis Kennedy and Claude Schlager, on November 25, 1963. Martin had been the associate of Guy Banister who was "pistol-whipped" on the afternoon of the assassination for saying he saw a lot of "strange goings on" over the summer at Banister's office.
Martin told the FBI that Ferrie was an amateur hypnotist and he thought Ferrie may have hypnotized LHO to do the shooting. We know based on the evidence that LHO didn't shoot anyone that day, but the idea could still hold true. LHO could have been stronger than Ferrie thought and he could have resisted the spell or Ferrie never got the chance to make contact with LHO to initiate the process (i.e. by telephone).
Mae Brussell said Ruby was in the company of two known hypnotists around the time of the assassination. David Ferrie and Billie Del Mar. Billie Del Mar was entertaining in Ruby's "Carousel Club" and he would flee from Dallas the day of the assassination and he would NEVER be called by the WC to testify despite his close proximity to Ruby in the weeks leading up to the assassination.
Barry Seal, a CIA operative and the most prolific drug smuggler in U.S. history, got his start in the government service as a member of David Ferrie's Civil Air Patrol (CAP) in New Orleans. Daniel Hopsicker wrote a book about Seal called "Barry and the Boys", and in the book he related information about Ferrie in terms of him practicing hypnosis on the boys in CAP.
He describes one time for us, "When one of them seriously cut his hand during a drill, Ferrie extended his arm and suggested that the fellow would feel no pain and that the bleeding would promptly stop. That the subject responded quickly and positively indicates that he had been hypnotized by Ferrie on numerous occasions."
Hopsicker and Seal say that Ferrie was a MASTER hypnotist, NOT an amateur.
My opinion is either Ferrie was not as good as some think, or LHO was able to handle the programming after his time with the intelligence services. Of course another option is that Ferrie was unable to get to LHO on November 22, 1963, to hypnotize him.
I would think George Joannides would fit into this picture as well as he was present for both President John F. Kennedy's (JFK) and Senator Robert F. Kennedy's (RFK) assassinations. At the time of the JFK assassination Joannides was the Chief of Psychological Warfare branch of the CIA's JM/WAVE station in Miami.
Jefferson Morley wrote this about Joannides.

Among his primary responsibilities were guiding, monitoring and financing the Revolutionary Cuban Student Directorate or DRE, one of the largest and most effective anti-Castro groups in the United States.
CIA records show, and the group's former leaders confirm, that Joannides provided them with up $18-25,000 per month while insisting they submit to CIA discipline. Joannides, in his job evaluation of 31 July 1963, was credited with having established control over the group.

DRE is the group LHO would have issues with in terms of the fight on the street in New Orleans. They quickly released documents that showed LHO to be "pro-Castro" after the assassination, while keeping Joannides’ involvement with their group secret form the Warren Commission (WC). When Joannides was called out of retirement to assist the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) he again did NOT disclose his involvement with the DRE in August/September 1963 as he was legally obligated to do. Why? What did he have to hide?
I find this topic very interesting as they may have failed with LHO, but as we have seen they got it right in all the other major assassinations and other events that needed a "lone nut" for the fall guy position. There is some very minor stuff pointing LHO towards LSD, although I can't remember where I read about that, but a doctor in either New Orleans or Dallas identified LHO as the man who came in to his office looking for some. LSD is very important in the area of hypnosis and mind control as it opens the mind up and breaks down the barriers we all put up. It most certainly could have been an imposter as well. IF anyone else has any information on this I would appreciate it.
As a youth LHO spent time at an orphanage and there are other times where he spent time away from his mother. Was he being prepped for being controlled by hypnotism then?
