The Warren Commission (WC) claimed that Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO) fired three shots from the southeastern window of the Texas School Book Depository (TSBD) Building at the Presidential limousine on November 22, 1963. Furthermore, they claimed that no shots were fired from any other location. They would not consider any evidence that showed that their conclusion was not correct.
Witnesses would be ignored that said or provided information that contradicted the official narrative. One example of this type of behavior was the Hartmans.

The only reason we have the Hartman’s story is because of researcher Jim Marrs as their account of what they saw on November 22, 1963, is nowhere to be found in either the WC Report (WCR) or the twenty-six volumes of exhibits and testimony. In his book Crossfire: The Plot That Killed Kennedy he interviewed the couple about what they saw and heard that day. Here is what Jim Marrs wrote regarding the Hartmans in his book.

Other witnesses to the bullet marks on the south side of Elm Street were Wayne and Edna Hartman, who were in Dallas for jury duty. After hearing shots in Dealey Plaza, the couple “ran like the devil” down to the grassy middle area of the plaza. Mrs. Hartman told this author:
“There were not many people in this area at the time, but a policeman was there. He pointed to some bushes near the railroad tracks on the north side of the street and said that’s where the shots came from...Then I noticed these two parallel marks on the ground that looked like mounds made by a mole. I asked, ‘What are these, mole hills?’ and the policeman said, ‘Oh no, ma’am, that’s where the bullets struck the ground.”
On Sunday, the Hartmans again visited Dealey Plaza but found that the crush of people bringing memorials had obliterated the marks.
In the summer of 1964, the Hartmans contacted the FBI after learning that the Bureau was still seeking assassination information. Mrs. Hartman said FBI agents didn’t seem to interested in what they had to say. One agent told them the marks had been made by bone fragments from Kennedy’s head, an explanation that sounded “strange” to the Hartmans.
Both Hartmans told the FBI that the bullet marks did not line up with the Texas School Book Depository but rather with the picket fence on the Grassy Knoll.
Mrs. Hartman recently recalled:

Does it surprise anyone that the FBI had no interest in what they had to say since it did not match the official narrative? Why would a FBI agent say that the damage that the Hartmans saw was caused by “bone fragments from Kennedy’s head?“ Especially since even if this odd comment was true, it would indicate a shot from the front as the damage was behind the limousine.
Who was the policeman who said that the shots came from the bushes near the railroad tracks, and that the damage they saw was “where the bullets struck the ground?“ Wouldn’t it be nice to know who this was? Clearly Mrs. Hartman felt strongly that some of the shots, at least, that were fired at President John F. Kennedy (JFK) were fired from the TSBD. This obviously means that there was at least one other shooter that day and that of course means that there was a conspiracy in the assassination of JFK.
You can see why these witnesses were ignored by the WC, and why the FBI had no interest in their information. It simply did not fit the official narrative and they had no intention of changing it. Therefore, the FBI had to change their version of events instead.

Yet in an FBI report dated July [August] 10, 1964, agents stated:

This is blatant tampering with evidence as the agents edited what was told to them so as to make it seem like they agreed with the official narrative. Clearly, if they had agreed with the official narrative, they more than likely would have been called before the WC or asked to give an affidavit at the very least.
If you open the links above, you will notice that they changed both of their statements to say “that the hole was in line with the Texas School Book Depository Building” when that is not what they said they saw. The two furrows in the grass that the Hartmans saw were located near where Jean Hill was standing at the time of the assassination and in the vicinity of the manhole cover others would see evidence of a bullet strike.
This comment was found in the local Ft. Worth Star-Telegram regarding this bullet strike.

“Assassin’s Bullet”
“One of the rifle bullets fired by the murderer of President Kennedy lies in the grass across Elm Street from the building in which the killer was hiding and from where he launched his assault.”

The caption had a photo accompanying it that shows where the bullet struck the grass near the manhole cover. Dallas Police Department (DPD) Police Chief Jesse Curry would later write in his book JFK Assassination File that the sandy-haired man in a suit was an FBI agent. (Crossfire, p. 316) This man was seen reaching down and cupping something in his hand and then placing it in his left pants pocket. I have read that this FBI Agent is now being identified as SA Robert Barrett. Whatever happened to this bullet? We will never know.
Richard Dudman of the New Republic wrote the following on this issue.

“On the day the President was shot I happened to learn of a possible fifth [bullet]. A group of police officers were examining the area at the side of the street where the President was hit, and a police inspector told me they had just found another bullet in the grass.” (Richard Dudman, New Republic, 12/21/63)

Fifth bullet? What was the fourth bullet? The WC told us that ONLY three bullets were fired at JFK. Five bullets of course means that a conspiracy took place in the murder of JFK. The statements seen in this post are totally at odds with the claims of the official narrative. Therefore, we see once again a consistent and systematic approach by the WC and the FBI in regard to evidence that did not match the official narrative which included ignoring the evidence and if needed altering the evidence. I think once again we see that the evidence, in this case the real evidence, sinks the conclusion of the WC.

There was somebody over there shooting also. And they pointed across the street, which was south of the Depository.” (Crossfire, pp. 315-316)
